Interfaith and Intercultural Partnerships

Details

Please go to the courses page for full information. Brief description: Navigate difference while building shared meaning. Interfaith and intercultural relationships offer extraordinary richness—and unique challenges. Different religious practices, cultural expectations, family dynamics, and worldviews require intentional navigation to prevent them from dividing partners. Interfaith and Intercultural Partnerships addresses the specific challenges these relationships face. You'll learn to navigate religious and cultural differences, communicate across different frameworks, manage family-of-origin tensions, and create shared meaning that honors both backgrounds. Drawing from multicultural counseling research, interfaith dialogue practices, and couples therapy approaches, the course provides practical strategies for common flashpoints: holidays, family relationships, children's upbringing, and identity negotiation. Through our ACT Triangle methodology, you'll develop your partnership's approach to difference during the course. You'll have crucial conversations, establish agreements, and build the skills to navigate future challenges as they arise. Because difference in relationship isn't a problem to solve—it's richness to navigate with wisdom.
