Please go to the courses page for full information. Brief description: Reclaim energy spent managing others' emotions and experiences. Emotional labor—the invisible work of managing emotions, anticipating needs, maintaining relationships, and keeping everything running smoothly—drains disproportionately. If you're exhausted in ways that hard work doesn't explain, emotional labor may be why. Recovering from Emotional Labor names and addresses this hidden energy drain. You'll understand what emotional labor actually is, recognize how much you're carrying, and develop strategies for redistributing this load more equitably. Drawing from sociology of gender, relationship psychology, and organizational research, the course illuminates work that often goes unrecognized. You'll have language for something you've felt but couldn't articulate. Through our ACT Triangle methodology, you'll reduce your emotional labor burden during the course. You'll identify where emotional labor concentrates, communicate about redistribution, and reclaim energy for your own needs. Because emotional labor deserves recognition—and relief.
