Please go to the courses page for full information. Brief description: Make sense of how past experiences affect your present life. Trauma responses aren't weaknesses—they're adaptations. Your nervous system learned to protect you, and those protective responses can persist long after danger passes. Understanding trauma responses reduces shame and creates space for healing. Understanding Your Trauma Response provides trauma education in accessible, compassionate language. You'll learn how trauma affects the brain and body, understand different trauma response patterns (fight, flight, freeze, fawn), and recognize how past trauma shows up in present-day reactions. Drawing from trauma research, polyvagal theory, and trauma-informed approaches, the course explains trauma responses without retraumatizing. You'll gain framework for understanding experiences that may have confused or shamed you. Through our ACT Triangle methodology, you'll apply understanding to your own trauma responses. You'll identify your patterns, develop self-compassion for protective adaptations, and build the groundwork for healing. Because understanding your responses is the first step toward freeing yourself from their grip.
